Meet Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa Russo. I’m a yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist, and I believe every person’s path to wellness is unique. My passion is creating sessions that meet you exactly where you are, blending yoga, massage, and functional movement in a way that helps ease pain, reduce stress, and bring more balance into your life.

My yoga journey began in 2007 with a simple desire to move and connect with my body. That spark grew into a deep love for the human body and its incredible ability to heal. Along the way, I earned my 200-hour certification in 2009 and my 500-hour certification in 2011 with OM Yoga, and became a licensed massage therapist through Harmony Path School in 2015. I’ve co-led teacher trainings, taught workshops for students and teachers, and continue to focus on anatomy, alignment, and mindful movement in everything I share.

In 2020, I deepened my studies with Functional Range Conditioning (FRC®), a system designed to support joint health, mobility, and strength.

Today, I bring together yoga, massage, Myofascial Release, and functional movement to help my clients feel more at home in their bodies.

I believe that when we honor our bodies, focus on the breath, and bring patience to our practice, healing and transformation naturally follow.

Testimonials

Melissa is so skilled at what she does, and I’ve gone to her for massage for several years, so when she said I’d be a good candidate to try MFR in my massage sessions, I was open to trying it. But I didn’t really expect for it to be something that even changed my experience of sleep and breathing. As someone who can easily get burnt out, and has really persistent muscle tension, massage sometimes leaves me fatigued or feeling tender afterwards, but this technique has been energizing yet relaxing, and is really giving me a new entry point into reversing long-held patterns in my breath and body. It feels like the fascia slowly untangles through the combination of both the manual therapy and the internal movement of my breath. Very grateful for this new approach paired with the long-held trust I have in Melissa!"

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before your session, otherwise there will be a $15 charge.

Yoga sessions and massage are not meant to replace any necessary form of medical care and physical therapy. In fact it helps me as a therapist to have a diagnosis to plan a session accordingly.
